QuArK could not create the (+prt) file

If you still haven't found the prt file, maybe you can do a search for 2fort.* through your entire hard-drive(s). You should find the .map file (hopefully just one!), maybe a .bsp file (could be old), and possibly a .qrk file (if you saved it like that). If you do turn up a .prt file, check its modified date. This looks like either the compiler is not outputting a prt file (or a different kind of file), or a path configuration problem.
